Police MisconductIt is not right that the police targets/fears colored citizens. Just because they are colored doesn't mean that they can shoot them if they feel threatened. For example police don't spend enough time learning how to deescalate a situation but instead spend more time learning how to fight and shoot a gun. If the spent a lot more time learning how to deescalate a situation a lot of black people who were wrongfully shot by police officers could have been saved. Also the warrior police program makes it seem that killing is justified. This is wrong because this gives them less reasons to try to deescalate situations.

Was it right for the photographer to not help the child?A photojournalist named Kevin Carter flew to Sudan in 1993 to photograph the famine racking that land. The most famous picture he took there was a picture of a toddler who collapsed on their way to the feeding center and a vulture landing behind the child. After taking the picture he scared the vulture away and left the child. I agree with the idea that photojournalists are responsible for capturing a story and not creating/altering it because it makes people see the truth of what is really happening in the world, but after taking the picture Kevin Carter should have helped the child instead of walking away. Helping the child after the picture would not have changed the realism in the picture since others have probably collapsed from starvation and it would have still shared the message that people are suffering from famine.
What is the impact of photos? The communication which done through site is called visual communication. The difference between communicating with words and pictures, is that pictures are easier to memorize. The advantage of visual communication is that it's effective for illiterate receivers and makes oral communication more meaningful. The disadvantage of visual communication is that it's difficult to understand without at least a caption. For example you wouldn't understand a graph if you didn't know what the graph was for. So visual communication is effective but words are still necessary for people to understand.
Is the medium the message? The medium is the message means that the way we receive and give information is more important than the information itself. I agree with this idea because the medium sets the mood for the message. For example giving sad news over the phone makes it even harder for the person receiving the info to take because there is no one there to comfort them. Fifty years ago the only mediums to spread messages were radios, landlines, and TV. Now we have mobile phones, social media, and the internet to spread news worldwide. For example if you post something on social media everyone around the world will be able to see it. Making it easy to spread important messages across the world.
